Open-Concept Kitchen Remodel with Custom Island in Rescue, CA 95672

This Rescue home started with a dated, tile-heavy kitchen that was closed off from the rest of the house. The homeowners wanted a brighter, more open layout with a true entertaining island and finishes that would hold up for years to come.

Our team at GVD Renovations reworked the layout from the ground up — raising the ceiling by removing the old recessed light box and soffits, and opening the kitchen into the adjoining living space. We pulled all of the existing cabinetry, tile countertops, backsplash, and flooring across the kitchen, laundry, pantry, nook, and half bath, relocated plumbing and electrical through the concrete slab for a new island, and rebuilt with natural maple Shaker cabinetry, quartz counters, and a full suite of new stainless appliances.
